M.r muhamaad sdiq id the founder human
rights organization in Kurdistan 1386, and because of his activities as
journalist and demanding the human rights in Kurdistan , he is captured by the
Islamic court of Iran accusing him of causing national national security
through the establishment of civil institutions. Eventually he has been
sentenced for 11 years and he is detained in Ewen prison.
In the past years Kabwand suffered from
serious illness like lung infection, kidney and Prostate……. Mind however his
doctors demand the he should get medical treatment outside the prison but the
responsible people in Iranian Government they don’t let that happen. Because of
none humanitarian behaviours of the prison staff made MR. kabwand protest so
many time by not eating and this made him weaken his health. Despite all of
that the son of MR. kabwand (bezhan kabwand) he got serious illness and it has
been for 5 months he is in hospital and the staff of the prison has not let him
to see his son yet. Kbwand in his letter which has been published in the klma
website stated that “I have demanded 10 times so far for temporary permission
to get out of the prison for the sake of watching my son in hospital but it was
neglected by the court and prison staff. Because of the attitude of the court
of Iran kabwand started protest by not eating in 6 Khordad for the second time for a period less than a
month and it worth mentioning that he protested again and he was promised by
the court the his demand will be taken to consideration, and then he ended his
protest in the last 5 days, but latter they broke their promise and he started
protesting again.
Despite the pressure and the suffering of
the prison, he continued working in the field of journalism and human rights
and he has been given international awards for Journalism and human rights like
(the international journalist of the year,) in the ceremony of the British
awards of journalism in UK in 2009 and also the “ helman_ hemet” is the award
that has been given to him in 2009 by the human rights watch.
The women organization of Azamher in
Kurdistan asks the political and civil activists and journalists poets and
writers of Kurds ….. To sign this campaign and awaken the conscience of the
world that Kabwand has been imprisoned by the court of Islamic republic because
of demanding human rights.
His demands are considered to be legal
right of any prisoner.
That’s why we ask for the purpose of
supporting Muhammad sdiq kabwand to put pressure on the Iranian regime. In this
way we put one step forward for seeking human rights from the oppression of the
Iranian regime.
